Stair Lift for JJ Holder

Donation protected
Meet JJ, an 11 year old amazing boy from Herriman, Utah. JJ has a rare disease called Pontocerebellar Hypoplasia. This  is a heterogeneous group of rare neurodegenerative disorders caused by genetic mutations and characterised by progressive atrophy of various parts of the brain such as the cerebellum or brainstem (particularly the pons). What a large amount of things to deal with! Despite being diagnosed with this he also has a long list of other diagnosis' including epilepsy and cerebral palsy. Through it all JJ is such a shining light in this world.
He has 4 siblings and recently became an uncle. He loves movies and his favorites are Ice Age, Batman, and Avengers. His mom explains his fascination with lights, sounds and textures. She tells a story of them going to see a Star Wars movie and JJ was belly laughing at the sound of Darth Vader's Voice. :)
The Salt Lake Home Builders Association, Community Service Committee has taken on a project to improve JJ's health and well being. We will be creating a Therapy Room for JJ to use. This room will be filled with many tools that can help JJ work on his physical and mental therapy. The family lives in a town home in Herriman, Utah. The only space available to accommodate this room is an unfinished family room in the basement. We will be finishing this space completely for them to fill with the tools and equipment to help him. Although JJ's family is currently able to carry him down the stairs, as he grows that task may become difficult. We are raising money to purchase a stair lift for JJ to use. The townhome has an "L" shaped set of stairs going to the basement which, increases the cost of the lift dramatically.  We are reaching out asking for our amazing community to help us make this a reality for the family.  Please help us get the word out by sharing our campaign! Each share means many more people will be reached by JJ's story.  Thank you all for taking the time to read about this wonderful boy and his family!
