Our efforts continue in 2019 with a new focus. The number of refugees has dwindled significantly. We are now focused on providing housing support for those who are here and seeking asylum. Your donation will help us with renovations and furnishings of living quarters for families struggling to find work and affordable housing in our area.
We need $30,000 to replace the roof of the building in Montclair we are making ready for refugee/asylum seekers for housing. Once the roof is complete we will focus on improvements to the interior of the building which can house up to 4 families. We are seeking donations and would love to find contractors who might donate labor to this cause.
We are also helping two families to pay their rent as they search for jobs and a sustainable income.
Jesus has taught us that among the deepest tests of our faith is how we treat the most vulnerable among us, including how we welcome the stranger in need of our help.
