St Lucia Sustainable Community Tourism Project
Hi, the objective of this project is to build a low-cost sustainable community tourist space and summer camp. Local people using locally sourced materials will build this space. It will include a small apartment, camping site with the provision of outside washing facilities and BBQ area.
Where is this place you ask… St. Lucia in the Caribbean, The Helen of the West Indies. There are many people who have wished to visit but perhaps cannot afford this due to the high cost of accommodation; here is a chance to have an affordable place to stay without the confines of all-inclusive hotel walls. This is an opportunity to live in a village share and experience the local culture.
How can you help me? And how can I thank you? I envisage that this project should take approximately18 months providing that the target amount is reached.

£5 donation gives you a cheaper rate of future rental.
£35 donation gives you a camping spot to pitch your tent and camp for up to one week.
£300 donation gives you the use of a two-bedroom apartment with a sea view, with the availability of horse riding, and other outdoor activities once the project is completed.
The donators will be given priority use of the tourist space during designated periods of the year (i.e. 6 months between August and January). For this, I am looking for a donation of £5,000 and I will be personally putting in £5,000 of my own money to match.
The time limits of one-week stay act as a guide only and the figures do not include any flights.
During your visit I encourage that you support local businesses, eat locally produced fresh fruit and vegetables and weekend entertainment is never far away if you so desire. You will be living 20 minutes trek from the beach and surrounded by beautiful lush flora and fauna.
