Baby Blake's Medical Fund

Donation protected
Hi Everyone, most of you know that we have been struggling with our beautiful Baby Blake since his Birth.
When he was born, we found out he had kidney issues and a megaurether. He was on daily antibiotic to prevent infection because  if he would of gotten an infection it could of put his kidney function at risk. Anyways, after monthly ultrasound, we were told that the kidney looked much better, and that we could stop the antibiotic for now which was great news! But since Blake was 2-3 weeks old, he had his first cold...that turned into bronchitis, then pneumonia...and now we don't know. He has been hospitalized twice in the past month. He is currently in the ICU at Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital where they have been running test daily to figure out why he is struggling to breathe. He went through a barrium swallow study, an upper gi study, (to look for aspiration), They looked for a oesophagal fistula, a cleft behind the voice box, all negative. They did a CT SCAN that showed that the lungs were inflammed but still no answers as of yet. The heart echo also showed that he has a small hole in his heart, but that shouldn't be the problem for his respiratory distress.
specialist have tried many medications over the past couple of months with no success, Albuterol, Singulair, Pulmicort, Oral Prednisone, Atrovent, Advair ... He will be going through a Bronchoscopy this week where the ENT, the GI and the Pulminologist will be present. They are suspecting Bronchomalacia, but if this is not the case, he will be refered to the Jewish Medical Center of Denver Colorado.  (research center)
This trip will incur a lot of medical expenses for the family as this is an out of network hospital. We will need hotel, flight, and medical expenses to be covered.  We have already spent thousands of dollars with the medical expenses that we are incurring here locally, and we have also tested and treated our house for any type of possible trigger? (UV Light in the ac system, sterilize and cleaned all ducts and vents, we had to rehome our two dogs, changes the wood floors throughout the entire house even if he tested negative for all his allergy test) It has been very hard for the whole family to go through this, as Mom just started a new job and she is the insurance carrier for the family. Mom would like to be with him 24/7 but cannot :(.  Grandma is here helping from Canada (THANK GOD!)

Our little Blake is a happy Baby, but it breaks our heart that he is struggling to breathe and there is no treatment or answers right now. We have already been in contact with the Denver Center and will continue to try everything we can so we can help him live a normal life out of the hospital, stress free.  We will give you updates as soon as we have some. The specialist is coming again later to give us an update on the next steps...
Thank you all for your love and your support...
