Performers Without Borders 2016
Donation protected
Starting in January 2016 I will be heading to Nicaragua with Performers Without Borders! P.W.B. is a non profit organization dedicated to bringing circus and community to children in rough situations around the world.
I have been teaching circus arts and gymnastics for the last 3 years here in the U.S. I am excited to share my skills with children who would not have the opportunity to learn without programs like P.W.B. Through teaching them circus arts like juggling, acrobatics, and theatre we hope to give them the tools to gain confidence, build community, and have fun while doing it. Programs like this help to combat drug use, gang involvement, and other negative influences in third world countries. These are just some of the reasons I am passionate about social circus. I will working and performing all throughout Nicaragua with 6 other individuals who share the same passions.
This will be my first international social circus experience and I need your help to get there.
Although P.W.B. works on a budget, we are all volunteers and need to pay our own way.
The $2800.00 that I am trying to earn will go to:
Props for the kids, audio and sound equipment, travel for the whole group, 3 meals a day (2 we cook on our own), places to stay, my round trip flight, and other small things I may need on this three month journey.
