Ricky's fund to save his eye sight

I am trying to raise money for my only child  Richard J Gambill in order to save his sight. He is 43 years old the father if 3 kids ages,13,10, and 6 and has been fighting with his insurance company for years to pay for the surgery to save his sight. His new eye doctor finally got his insurnace to pay for the surgey but they will not pay for the aparatus (Keravision Intacs) that is needed.  His eye doctor can not understand why his insurnace did not cover this surgery  when he had less damage to both his eyes and it would have been simpler. Now he is going blind and and will not be able to see his 3 kids grow up  as his sight is getting worse each day.  He needs a $3000  co-pay for the aparatus  that  will save his sight. I am at my wits end and he has tried to get help form various Supposedly medical help cards  but has been denied. His only income is SSI. He lives with me  and I do what I can but I am a senior citizen living on Social Security. I would help him if I could but I don't have this.
   Any help would be deeply appreciated and he is scheduled for his first eye surgery on April 7,2016. If we can not get the money  we will have to cancel the sugery and his sight will continue to get worse until he becomes totally blind. He has had medical problems most of his life and just survived having to have portions of both his lungs removed . He nearly died but through the grace of God they managed to save him.
   Richard is my only biological child and he has been through so much. I am praying for some help here as I really don't want to lose my son to blindness. As I get older I may need him to help me. I am pushing 70.
