We are facing an addiction epidemic in this country that is affecting communities, families and individuals at an exponential level.
However, the way we are TREATING the people suffering with addiction is NOT working!
Relapse IS preventable with the RIGHT type of care. Second Chance Counseling provides the individualized care that meets SUD patients where they are at- literally.
Second Chance Counseling provides teletherapy services,which allows patients to meet with a therapist anywhere in the country at a time that works with their life. This allows a flexibility previously unavailable and eliminates the self-defeating, impossible position many addicted persons find themselves in..
This prevents relapse as the therapists check in on their clients and if a patient is struggling at any given moment, they will have a professional available.
Many working individuals and even single parents have difficulty going to outpatient treatment, counseling or therapy because traveling or scheduling conflicts can be an issue.
Second Chance Counseling accepts private insurance policies, but as many people who work with addiction issues know- private insurance is not as prevalent as Medicaid or even no insurance. This should NOT at all affect the level of care a person receives and it is more difficult from a business aspect to run a business based off of state funding, that is why private insurance is implemented as a source of pay.
If you donate to this campaign, we will use the money donated to fund people without insurance or who don’t have the resources to pay for the therapy in full, to pay for their sessions. The therapy is VERY reasonably priced with or without insurance at Second Chance Counseling, we know, when you're in the midst of addiction, money is usually rarely on hand or available. We are committed to ensuring that finances are not an obstacle to getting care.
Our scholarship program looks to sponsor single parents, low-income patients, and the everyday person who needs a little extra help, so they're able to have one of the best tools for their recovery and work to prevent relapse.
