Bath Cloth Nappy Library needs your help. After a period of dormancy we are desperately in need of new nappy stock. The world of cloth nappies has changed a lot over the last 10 years and can be a bewildering place. There are a huge amount of different options available to suit every family, but without some straightforward advice and the option to actually trial a few nappies before investing hundreds of pounds of their own money many people are put off before they start. 
The library already has a waiting list of soon to be mums who would love to hire a newborn kit, we have a long list of enquiries for older babies who want to trial the 4 month plus nappies and we have so many plans for working with health visitors and local baby groups to increase those numbers. All we need is the capital to get the library started again with decent stock and I think we can make a big difference here in Bath.
The national average for cloth nappy use is just 5%. In BANES there are approximately 1750 babies born annually. For every 5% of uptake in BANES, or 80 families, that is 400,000 nappies saved annually from landfill.... 16 tonnes of plastic waste annually!
There are so many metrics for looking at the impact of disposable vs reusable but in every case I have researched, with correct use they win out. Less CO2, less cost for users, less cost for tax payers in disposal, huge amounts less plastic dumped in landfill.

£15 can buy a birth to potty "all-in-one" or "pocket" nappy
