As a mom of three kids on the autism spectrum I have learned that no family is a like, no situation is a like, but almost anything is worth attempting on a wing and a prayer incase it is the answer you were looking for. My butt has been saved time and again because of the tips of others in similar situations as ours.
As such, I am currently working with a group of over 70 parents, educators, and individuals to create a survival guide for parents of kids with ASD. The Spectrum Parent's Survival Guide will be plump with tips, tricks, and ideas from our personal experiences. In each chapter I will share what worked with our particular family and then provide multiple options from other families of what worked for them. The guide will also include definitions of all the medical, educational, and governmental terms we've had thrown at us over the years of being Spectrum Parents that made for a huge learning curve. In the end, we hope you'll find solutions that will work for your family and your particular situation right now.
