Southern Indiana Veteran Living and Rehabilitation
Our mission is to provide temporary and permanent living facilities for at risk veterans and their dependents. Assist in rehabilitation and job placement in the pursuit of self-sufficiency.
We are a team of individuals, many veterans, dedicated to building a top notch facility to help veterans that have become homeless for various reasons and need help getting back on their feet. Family units, as well as a few permanent options, will phased in down the road. In this rural area we have many veterans that are living in dilapidated housing, many are older veterans, we want to provide a permanent option for those veterans so they don't have to worry about their living arrangements as they age. As long as they are medically able to take care of their selves, we will provide a place for them on a first come first serve basis.
Our rehabilitation program will focus on healing the mind and teaching resiliency. This will enable a veteran to have complete healing, overcome obstacles, and able to live a normal life by focusing on their body, mind, and spirit.
A tiny home community, with a community building in the center, is the plan. The community building will be built to have classrooms, community kitchen/cafeteria, showers, some living accommodations, all purpose area, and whatever else we foresee needing in order to provide the best possible services to our veterans.
Southern Indiana is under serviced as far as veteran services go. We will partner with other community organizations and services to get every service we can possibly get in order to reach each and every veteran and provide what they need to become self sufficient.
Our priority, at this point, is getting enough money to purchase the land we need to start building. This GoFundMe page is for a piece of property, that has 57 acres, we would like to purchase.
