Sophie's Orphanage Boxes

A friend of mine has been out in Malawi  teaching at an academy and volunteering at an Orphanage 2 times a week. She posted some pictures on facebook and I spoke to her via private message as me and my little girl Sophie were talking about Africa and orphanages and she asked if we could send them some things. We noticed on the picture that most of the children were not wearing shoes and that some of the clothes were to small or had holes in them. We also noticed there classroom seemed quite bare and there were no toys on the grass outside. We decided to have a clear out of her and henrys clothes, shoes and toys and put a box together to send. I got in touch with my friend in Malawi who said that this would be greatly appreciated by the Children.   We sent the first box in January and received some lovely pictures and videos of the children receiving our box so we decided to try and send a box a month until my friend comes home in May.   Via friends, family, colleagues I now have a further 3 boxes of clothes, shoes, toys and books that we are going to send this month and some friends I know who have their own business have kindly have donated the postage and packaging costs. Postage is approx. £7-£10 per KG   It would be lovely to send another box of gifts next month and I was hoping people might support me in 1 of 2 ways. 1, by buying or donating 1 pair of girls/boys shoes NEW or USED (variable sizes children go from 0-11) Most of the shoes I have bought or had donated so far have all been boys so would be lovely to get some girls shoes (I paid between £2 - £5 for some shoes I got in the sale in Tesco)   2, By making a donations toward next month’s postage and packaging
