Something's in the Woods
Who We Are:
Fanboy Productions is a small, independent film production company based in Knoxville, TN. We write, shoot, direct, edit, and act in our own projects, which include sketch comedy, horror, and even artsy short films. Since forming in 2008, our work has been featured in several local film festivals, including the Knoxville 24 Hour Film Festival and the Knoxville Horror Film Festival.
“Pimp of the Year” awarded to William Allman as "White Dolemite" (2012, Knoxville 24 Hour Film Festival).
“Best Performance” awarded to Julian Spence as Gaijin Ranger in "IS 2: Revengeance" (2013, Knoxville Horror Film Festival’s Grindhouse Grindout).
The 2014 Knoxville 24 Hour Film Festival even screened a special retrospective of our films!
"Something’s in the Woods" began as an entry in the Knoxville Horror Film Festival’s Grindhouse Grindout trailer contest. It has since taken on a life of its own – albeit quite a brutal and bloody life!
"Something’s in the Woods" takes place in an old, long-abandoned campground. Angela and her boyfriend head deep into the woods, hoping to have a bit of fun and romance while helping their friends fix up the old camp’s dilapidated cabins. But all is not what it seems – Angela’s friends seem to be disappearing into the trees one by one. Stranded far from civilization, her vacation goes from “roughing it” to a desperate struggle for survival as she soon discovers… something’s in the woods!
This the most elaborate project we’ve ever attempted. While we do have our own camera equipment, editing software, and technical know-how, we’ll need some upgrades and additional equipment to produce a more professional-looking full-length feature film.
Because the scope is so large, we’ll need help financing just about everything: props, sets, costuming, special equipment rentals, post-production work, transportation, permits, food for the cast and crew, etc.
How to Help:
We are extremely grateful for each and every donation. As low-budget (and sometimes no-budget) filmmakers, we truly value every dollar and will stretch it as far as possible to create a better film.
Even if you can’t contribute financially, you can still support our team and this film by sharing links to this campaign and our Facebook page with friends and family.
