Give Back ATX!

Hello friends and family or those of you who may not know me, my name is Katy Szendrey and I am a second year student at St. Edward's University. Even though the campus is beautiful, the surrounding community is in need of assistance. Over 2,300 Austinites are living in the streets of Austin and 900 are considered "chronically homeless", meaning they have been homeless for over one year. As the temperature drops and the holidays are fast approching my goal is to bring those in need a little joy this season. I want to make care packages with non-perishable food, water bottles and warm clothing to distrubute amongst the homeless Austin community, but I cannot do this alone. I need your help with donations so that I can help these people. Your contributions will be used to buy the warm clothing. My hope is that students of the St. Edward's community will donate non perishable food items and water bottles with funds from their excess meal plan. Winter break begins the second week of December and my plan is to distrubute the care packages the first weekend of December. I would be so thankful if you would contribute to this cause so that we can give back to ATX!
