Chicago Youth Serving in Kenya

It's timely that we give our kids the tools they need to be socially responsible, global citizens - to give as much as they are fortunate to receive, no matter how great or small. Children who serve are more appreciative, generous, respectful of others and tolerant of cultural differences.
The role of the Council is to bring harmony, solutions, knowledge and tools to the community and planet it represents. It is the Council's duty to peacefully collaborate, selflessly serve, seek wisdom, grow, share and advise - to promote peace and equality for people and all living things.
The Sacred Keepers Youth (S.K.Y.) Council is a special group dedicated to making the world a better place through the study of climate and culure. The S.K.Y Council functions as the philanthropic youth group of the organization. THE S.K.Y Council needs your support in returning to Kenya to in April of 2016 to continue their work on building a sustainable community center and establishing a reforestation project in the Kimuka Village. You're not only supporting an incredible, global service learning opportunity for a group of brilliant, dedicated youth but your donations help to foster the economic growth and development of responsible, locally driven tourism and sustainable empowerment in Ngong Hills and Rift Valley. Our budget for ground transportation, lodging, airfare, meals, guided experiential outdoor learning and service project materials stimulates the minds of our youth AND the Maasailand economy. The Council will have an opportunity study the intersection of climate change and culture and learn the value systems and traditions that matter most to the survival of the Maasai people and ourselves - this is our commitment to Sacred Keeping this Big Blue Circle we are ALL floating on! We are need to raise $35,000 to make this journey a reality for them and we need your love and support!
