After 55 years of service the Sisters of Saint Philip Neri are being retired from their positions at Saint Jerome Catholic School this June, 2016.  They have staffed our school since it opened in Fort Lauderdale, FL in 1961 and are a cherished part of our spiritual family.

Our community is sad about their departure and are concerned about the lack of financial support they will receive to meet their living expenses. Throughout the years they received minimal salaries that addressed immediate needs but not enough to cover unexpected future expenses.  Today there are additional unforeseen financial requirements that needs to be addressed by people of conscience.

Those of us who directly benefited from these women's untiring charity are the first who need to respond but in a greater sense I ask all who are moved by their situation to contribute what they can.

Their type of service has created ripple effects in our community and throughout the world.   One example is student who went on to become an Assistant Surgeon General and led a team of doctors to eradicate Ebola from West Africa in 2015.  Their mission saved millions of lives and stopped the spread of the disease.  The sisters have educated students who have entered various professionals fields that have benefited our world.

I ask you to give to women who have given so much and need our help.  Thank you and God bless!
