Simmons Farm Petting Zoo Renovation

At Simmons Farm, many years ago, we created the Petting Zoo to foster a sense of community and provide a place for hands on educational experience and enjoyment for all visitors. Over the years we have done our very best to keep it affordable, you can visit the Petting Zoo for FREE. We would like to keep it this way but by doing so it does not provide the farm with finances for maintenance or improvement. Annually we have over 10,000 people visit our Petting Zoo for free, the only revenue generated is from sale of grain for those who choose to purchase a feed for $1. Many people visit just to enjoy the view and to watch the animals and no purchase is required for the view. Harsh weather, heavy use and general wear and tear have taken its toll on the Petting Zoo. Fencing needs replacing, shelters need to be rebuilt and we have new ideas we'd love to implement but all these improvements need funding. This is where we are reaching out to you, our community in hopes that we can work together to grow and improve the Simmons Farm Petting Zoo to continue to educate and provide enjoyment to its visitors and our local community for years to come. 
  If we exceed our goal all funds will go to continue improvement of the Petting Zoo and parking lot.
