Silas is still in the Hospital

Hello, first off I would like to say thank you for taking the time out of your day to read about my God-Nephew and possibly even donating. It all started about a week ago when Silas was taken to the ER here in Redding, CA by his mother and father for a fever and for not being himself. At first they diagnosed him with mumps and sent him home. The following day his mother, Alicia, and father, Nate, took him to his primary care doctor and Silas’ doctor told his parents to take Silas back to the ER because mumps was the wrong diagnosis. Alicia headed back to the ER, accompanied by Nate, hoping for a correct diagnosis. Silas was admitted to the hospital where they ran tests, such as blood work and ultrasounds, and came back with a possible diagnosis of Hepatitis A however, Hepatitis A was not the correct diagnosis once again. Silas was flown to UC Davis by helicopter with his father Nate, and  Alicia, Trish (Grandma), Tara, (Great Aunt), Jeremy (Great Uncle), and Autumn (Aunt) following in car. He has now been at UC Davis for 4 days now and has been diagnosed with Enterovirus and Rhinovirus, but both those diagnoses don’t give a clearer picture of what’s going on with the enzymes in his liver. A  team was specialists was called in and more blood work was done and more test were ordered, such as, CT scans and ultrasounds, but we are still waiting for a cleaner understanding of why Silas got so sick and how to make him feel better. I am asking for anyone to donate as little or as much as possible because not only are they missing work, but Alicia could possibly get kicked out of her Dentel Hygienist Program due to being at UC Davis with her son. Alicia is the most dedicated person I know when it comes to school and she has put some much time and money into this program. I’m hoping to raise enough money so Alicia and Nate are able to stay with Silas until he gets better and Alicia is able to attend school again, once Silas is better, at no cost to her.
