Athletic Facilities Improvement

Donation protected
Little has been done to improve or repair Springstead High School's gym since it was built in 1980. Springstead's gym doesn't have wood floors. Our gym still has the original polyurethane floor that was
installed when the gym was built, and it has reached its life-expectancy. The majority of the more than 22,000 who attend public schools in Hernando County qualify to participate in the free/reduced lunch program, and because the district has lost, on average, more than $8 million in revenue per year since 2008 the district has had to transfer funds that could have been used to repair and renovate Springstead's Gym to the general fund to keep our teachers in classrooms.  THIS IS WHY WE NEED YOU! Your donations will help to replace the gymnasium floor, bleachers, scoreboards, and will provide funding for the many other gymnasium renovations that are needed. These repairs and renovations will help the more than 400 Springstead High School student-athletes to achieve even greater goals, as well as, provide top-notch facilities that promote excellence and wellness throughout Hernando County community.

Please consider even a small donation! Our goal is to receive $1 from 100,000 people -- no donation is too small. All donators will be recognized in name upon completion of this project in some manner inside the renovated gynasium.
