Replace dead PC for moddin&teachin

Donation protected

Hello ladies and gentlemen,

My name is Michael "Shaostoul" Boisson. I'm currently a modder and modding educator,  for the games Space Engineers and Fallout 4 . I've been an active member with the Space Engineers modding community since May of 2014 and have been helping people learn how to mod themselves since January of 2015 and I've been doing the same for Fallout 4 since July of 2016.

Just recently, my PC died (the night of 16 October, 2017) in it's entirety and most grievously the HDD that was storing all of PeterHammer's, Embershard's, rexxar's, Draygo's, Geneticus', Jimmacle's, tons of YouTubers, and so on, as well as my own source files, such as the model files (.blend & .fbx), texture files (.dds & png), sound files (.wav & .xwm), 'programming files' (.sbc & .xml & .cs) and any others I may be forgetting, are all gone. While the same is true for Fallout 4, a good portion of the time consuming and painful to work with files for it are safe and sound within the mod on Nexus (.nif and .esp) which can mostly be restored without too much heartache.

Essentially all released and WIP projects are gone and have to be restarted from the very beginning.

While this is a incredibly horrible event, I am entirely willing to start again from scratch! Raising funds however is going to be incredibly difficult for me to do by myself, as I'm currently unemployed and can't work due to, as some of you may of already heard, an auto-immune disease called Ulcerative Colitis, that rendered me bedridden from January to June this year. I do not yet possess disability benefits and will most likely not until late next year, some time around September (due to some horrible hoop jumping that you have to do in the USA for it).

Now, you may be thinking to yourself "$3500 is a LOT of money!" but, rest assured, all of it will be going into a new PC that will not only allow me to begin again with what I've been doing, such as; modding, educational modding content and live-support. It will also allow me to live-stream anything and everything; including modding, education modding content, as well as any gaming that may occur. Of course, the live-streaming is confined to when I have the bandwidth which isn't nearly as often as I'd like. If I were able to move to some place with better internet access, I could live-stream all the time.

As a special thanks to those assisting me in getting a replacement PC, I've set up some reward tiers based off how much time is estimated to be required for each item, based off of previous creations. The more extensive the tier, the longer you can expect it to take, roughly about 1 hour for every $10, although the higher tiers may take quite a bit longer due to how extensive and time consuming those can be.

In terms of receiving the funds, the sooner I raise the money, the sooner I can replace the computer and begin work.

Should any excess be raised, it'll go towards moving, in order to be able to have access to faster internet, which will allow for faster and more frequent uploads/updates, as well as live-streaming.

Based on the amount achieved,
should the full amount be achieved
should a lesser amount be achieved by 2/3
anything lower, I'll adjust the build from there.

With all of that out of the way, I'm always thankful to the communities I've been a part of and the one I've created for myself. These last few years have been an absolutely amazing experience, with all of the people I've helped and seen their own creations as a result and creating things that people have enjoyed! I hope to be able to continue and do bigger and better things in the future.

Thank you, with all my heart,
Shaostoul
