Help A Veteran Save His Home

Donation protected
First this is really hard to write so forgive me if it is all over the place.I am coming from a place of desperation. This is a last attempt to try to salvage what we can of our lives before we lose everything. My husband would never ask for this help and has asked me not to and would rather wait for the government to pay what is deserved and what he has been waiting for, for now a year. Shane B Welles SSG (RET). served 5 total combat tours to Afghanistan between the years of 2004-2013 he sacrificed his mental, physical and emotional health with his 13.5 year career giving all he had to a country that he now feels has left him behind. Shane went to treatment for his severe PTSD in February 2015 after an attempted suicide, he came out sober and remains sober yet he is just very broken (he has just over two years of very admirable sobriety to be very proud of) but he came out a very broken man, how he has remained sober through all of this i will never understand he has more strength there than any one person I have ever known and I am VERY proud of him. With sobriety he had to strip down and face a lot of things he had been covering up over the years and in turn his PTSD, depression and anxiety worsened. He medically separated from the Army in Oct 2015. Prior to his separation he had a job lined up working for a family member that didn't go so well due to his medical issues and the medications he was prescribed. His ability to work unfortunately is just not there, he tried for 11 months and ultimately that job came to an end in July 16 after many tries on both Shane and the employers side. I had my own business one I loved so very much for 3 years and it has now completely failed due to being Shane's caregiver and not having the time, energy or money to keep in it what it needs to thrive. We have sold everything there is to sell, we have cut every bill that can be cut, we do not have cable, we do not have cell phones, loans have stopped being paid, credit cards are maxed, we do not have life insurance anymore, there is no more fat to be trimmed. He has been unable to pay his child support for his son for the first time in 8 years, that has caused more stress on him than I can explain, he wants to do everything for his children, we have two children in the home and one that will be here any day now. The stress, anxiety and depression this is causing him is debilitating. Last month we lost my husbands truck, something he worked SO hard for and it literally broke my heart to know this man who gave all he had to give had to let the last thing he had that he worked so hard for just go, it's the only time I've seen my husband shed a single tear in 6 years. This is so personal and so hard to write but we have no other answers at this time because we are now in default on our home. We have acquired attorneys to increase Shane's VA rating and to acquire his SS however this is a process and it takes time that we don't have. We can't wait anymore, I do have faith that this will all turn around eventually and we will be ok but at this time we just need a hand and this is my last resort. Thank you for reading and please if you can't help by donating just take a moment to look into combat veteran care, the unemployment rates, homeless rates, the suicide ratings are extremely high. So many times you hear how supported our vets are and I once believed that as well.. until I was on this side of it. Our vets deserve more than this. They give everything and many end up left behind.
