Service Year in Nepal through MCC - Jose Ortiz

Hi everybody, my name is Jose Ortiz and I am a recent graduate of Goshen College. I have decided to be a part of a service mission for this following year in Nepal through Mennonite Central Committee's program SALT. In Nepal, my position is Nutrition Researcher and it includes doing research related to maternal and child nutrition, and implementing projects related to healthy nutrition, food availability, income generation, and access to maternal and child health care services.  To be a part of this program I have to raise $5,700. I am approximately half way there and have $3,000 left to raise. I plan on working the rest of the summer to hopefully get there.  Alongside my staff at Cedars, we are also doing a fundraiser for this year long mission by selling wood fired pizzas to Oaklawn staff and others who would be interested. This "gofundme" will be used to set an order for the pizza, that will then be picked up on July 27th, from 1-5pm at 806 Middleburry St., Goshen IN. The suggested donation for the pizzas is $15-$25.
