Senior Trooper Hewett

A 2006 graduate of the Alabama State Trooper Academy and an officer assigned to the Highway Patrol Division in Lauderdale County of the Quad Cities Trooper Post. Not only was Senior Trooper Jason William Hewett a highly respected officer, but also a husband and father to 4 beautiful children who he dearly loved. 



Unexpected tragedy struck the morning of November 6, 2018 around 8:55 while Officer Hewett, 34, was out on his daily jog. A one vehicle encounter stole his life when he was hit by a truck and then pronounced dead at the scene. The driver was uninjured and at this time the case is being investigated.
