Update to the David McCovery story.
We found his family (Hallelujah!!!) in Moss Point, Mississippi, less than 24 hours after our Facebook post.
His story was shared over 4,000 times.
I have a renewed faith in humanity, again. Thank you to all who saw his story and shared it.
Unfortunately, the sister that he was looking to reconnect with, has passed. She had been to California looking for him, but was unsuccessful in locating him.
He does has family in Moss Point who had also been looking for him, but had presumed him to be dead, when they couldn't find him.
Now that they are aware that he is alive, they are welcoming him with open arms.
It is cold and wet in San Diego right now (below 50), and our desire is to put him in a motel room, get him food, a hot shower (which he said he desperately desires), clean clothes and a plane ticket home! Due to his condition with his legs, it would be in his best interest to get him there quickly, rather than a long, arduous bus ride. Plus, the plane ticket is less expensive than the bus.

There is a homeless man here in San Diego.
His name is David McCovery, he is 61 years old, and he is from the Moss point/ Pascagoula, Mississippi area.
He has been here for 5 years, has had a stroke, and uses a wheelchair or a cane to get around, because he has intermittent swelling of his feet, which makes it difficult to walk.
We have given him food, clothes, shoes, and money for a few meals, but, he says what he really wants is just to get back home to Mississippi.
I need your help finding his sister, so we can get him home.
Her name is Lelia Mae. Her last name may be Johnson, Kirkland, McClain, or Mitchell. She is about 59 years old.
He says she is/was married to Robert McClain.
