Hello friends and family! Abby and I have been thinking and praying about going on a missions trip together for quite a while now. It has been a desire of Abby's to be involved in missions work since she was 6 years old. She has never had the opportunity to go on one and neither have I. We decided that if a good opportunity came up for us to experience one together we would go!

After much praying and seeking with Abby, I got in touch with some coworkers who were going on a trip this coming July to Haiti where they would be building a hospital and doing local outreach. And what do you know they had a few spots open! So here we are. The missions trip will be for a week (July 11th - 18th).

What we will be doing:
During our time in Haiti we will be partnering with Bethesda Evangelical Mission, a 501C3 certified non-profit, and the locals to continue construction of the first state of the art hospital in the city of Les Cayes, Haiti. Les Cayes is a metropolis with the third highest population in Haiti without a hospital or any modern solution to aid in medical needs or crisis. Currently there is a government run facility in the region, located in the center of the city of Les Cayes. That facility is exceedingly old, poorly staffed, and barely meets the standards of health care that were present in the United States at the turn of the 20th Century.

Our goal:
Our goal is to partner with the locals, to provide free labor for the hospital project, and to encourage those who have already begun the hard work. Through this experience, we are praying to grow our marriage and spend time unplugged to bring us closer towards what God has planned for us.

What we need:
With all of the people who will find relief at Mercy Hospital in mind, we ask for your thoughts, prayers, and if so led, financial support as we begin to prepare for this trip. Our goal is to raise a combined total of $3,600. We appreciate all prayers and/or financial support in this coming journey.
