History
Semillas y Raices was founded five years ago as a platform for cultural preservation by way of creating and promoting collaborations to advance the traditional practices of restorative justice and community healing work. Originally a subsidiary of our consultation line-of-services, Infinite Conversations, Semillas y Raices become its own entity as a non-for profit and as such serves both domestic and international collaborations.

Semillas y Raices mission statement is to create a context and support healing trauma through community building efforts.
The roots of our work
Semillas y Raices is a nonprofit organization that seeks, by utilizing indigenous and contemporary practices to support healing and accountability through community building. These goals are accomplished by honoring the cultural legacy of its members and by developing programs focused on preservation of traditional practices.
Vision, the seeds
The vision of Semillas y Raices to co-exist in an inclusive, just and equitable society where first nations and marginalized populations of the American continent are recognized for their autonomy, solidarity and contributions to the larger society through their cultural practices, and sustainable development methodologies.
Our current work
Semillas y Raices provides education, consultation, support and capacity building for various organizations in the US and internationally. The project management team members are all volunteers and donate their time and resources. All Semillas y Raices activities are 100% free of charge
The following are some of the initiatives that your donations will support:
· Gardening supplies
· Property taxes for the space
· Youth gardening project
· Greenhouse building
· Sustainable off-grid water capture/dispersal system
· Gourmet mushroom cultivation program
· Traditional ceremonial supplies
· Community barbecues
· Restorative justice training
· Educational workshops
· Stipends for visiting elders
· Content development for Semillas Soundcloud page
· Delegation travel expenses to out of state community building events
