Hi Everyone,
We live in Elfin Forest, California - a rural community in southern California. We live on 2.5 acres and are in the process of building an animal rescue for farm animals! This includes horses, chickens, pigs, goats, and other animals that will be rescued from backyard slaughters, feedlots, neglect, etc. Some animals will find there forever home at Rancho Cherimoya and others we hope to find loving forever homes for.
We recently built the main fence to create the open pasture in which we plan to provide rescue animals lots of safe space to roam around, play, and just be (below).
However, we still need to put up the chain-link fence (so smaller animals cannot get out of pasture), build housing area for the horses, goats, and chickens, and a separate fencing area for the pigs. All compatible animals will be allowed to roam free together and be the social animals they are. Below you can see Daisy and Bella, our two rescue dogs, sitting in a part of the unfinished pasture waiting for more animal friends.
Your donation will help us achieve our goal of rescuing animals from inhumane or dangerous environments including the massive horse feedlots and slaughter operations. Once our operation is up and running, we will welcome people from all walks of life to our farm in hopes to teach compassion for all animals.
