HP Swim Club Needs Your Help

The Harrington Park Swim club has been an asset to the entire community since it opened in 1962. Many families have fond memories of the club, and many of those who grew up at the club have returned with their children.
Unfortunately, with changing times and the economic recession, membership has been steadily declining, and we have been operating at a deficit for some years. We are now at risk of closing the doors of our swim club permanently.
Can you help us? In order to keep our club alive, we need to change the way we operate and collect dues. Your board has worked hard to identify ways to cut down on costs, but adjustments to guarantee income must be made as well. This year we will only open the pool club if we have 220 paying members by May 1, 2018, or receive financial assistance.
We are an independently operated pool club. We do not have local or state funding to back us up. You – the members are our source of income. It is up to all of us to decide whether to keep this idyllic family-centered, small-town values establishment or let it go.
