Please help save our community

Update!:

We are sad to report that 4 children have smashed some windows at the Institute this afternoon. 29.6.19
This saddens all of us at the Institute, we have put in a lot of hard work to help raise funds and start work on the building.  This will not stop us! 
We are now motivated even more to get this building up and running fully. 

Who we are.

Hi, we are Nirvana & Natty. We have recently taken on a craft studio in a beautiful building called the Tower Ballroom. 

Over the past few decades, the building has deteriorated due to poor funding and lack of use. This beautiful Georgian building is now in a desperate state of repair. We have both fallen in love with the building and have decided to do everything we can to restore it.

Our cause.

Both me and Natty have already started work on improvements. (Painting mainly. We have limited DIY skills) 

The main area we want to get fixed is the entrance on Hill Street.  This area needs to be more accessible to both adults and children. We would like to complete this work before the annual Santa's grotto in December . What better way to show off the improvements. 

Work needed and cost.

There are lots of jobs that need doing in this area. Below is a break down of jobs and costs. (Once we have quotes)

Walls skimmed and painted
Stair carpets £800
Woodwork sanded and painted.
New accessible door.  £1500

We will update with photographs as our restoration project unfolds.
