Save the Mereness Home

The Mereness family moved into their first home 7 years ago, but shortly thereafter discovered significant damage to the foundation that had not been disclosed by the seller & was not discovered by the home inspector or anyone involved in the sale process of the home. Further pursuits proved that no one in that process could be held legally liable for the nondisclosure, despite dishonesty & professional failure, & the Merenesses would be left with the bill for decades of foundation damage on a home they had owned for one year. Demoralized, unable to afford the repairs, & facing the tough decision to possibly sell the home, the family elected to stay. They have lived there for 6 more years.

Recently, the foundation-related damage to the home has increased significantly, forcing Kory & Mandy to address a full foundation repair to save their home from breaking in two. The repair will require the installation of 39 underground piers & cost almost $70,000, as well as $10,000+ in essential exterior repairs.

Kory & Mandy have had three sons since living in the home.  They are dear friends of ours, & while we have watched their family grow, we have also watched the burden of their deteriorating home grow.  They have exhausted all means of financing the repairs on their own.  In their season of need we invite others to surround them with generosity & compassion to help them save their home.  Whatever small or large amount you can give will be received with gratitude beyond words.
