The Ripple Effect of Touch

For a long time now, I've had a longing inside, a simple wish to help make the world a better place, a more loving place. An idea started to form a couple of years ago, and now it seems the time has come to turn this idea into reality.

My dream is to work with nursing homes to improve the quality of life for their employees/caregivers, help them to have a happier—healthier—staff to care for our loved ones, while increasing the profit for the businesses. At the same time, I want to give work to massage therapists and help them build their practice, as well as continue to train them.

From working in a nursing home over the past two and half years, I’ve been able to clearly see the ripple effect of loving touch. I can reach people I usually wouldn’t be able to reach. It is such a beautiful thing when they come back to me and tell me their back doesn’t hurt anymore. My ability to care for them allows the employees to continue to care for their clients, with a greater capacity or less pain or perhaps just in a happier mood.

In other words, the company pays me, I pay the therapist, and the staff gets to enjoy some well deserved relaxation; it’s a win-win-win situation, where we help the staff, the business, and the therapist.

I hope you can see what I see and can help me make this vision a reality, making the world a better place, one massage at a time.
