Sangha Support Fund

Monastics do not work for a living so they can spend their time practising, studying and sharing the Dharma through teaching, leading meditations and spiritual counselling. They trust their community will support them because they see value in their lifestyle of simplicity, ethical discipline, study and service.
When we practice generosity towards the Sangha, we show that we want the teachers and practitioners who benefit us to have the four requisites of life - food, shelter, clothing, and medicines. When we understand dependent arising, we see that we all depend on each other for help, and we all receive so much from each other.
Langri Tangpa currently supports specific causes and projects for the sangha. This fund is the next natural step, focussed specifically for supporting the basic livelihood for the sangha for needs such as food, accomodation, medicine and providing opportunities for any retreats / courses that would be of benefit to their dharma practice.
This Go Fund Me fund has been established by a number of Langri Tangpa students so members of the community can make regular contributions, or a one-off donation towards their basic needs. To find out more about the Sangha visit http://langritangpa.org.au
It is hoped the Sangha Support Fund will grow so it can eventually become self-sustaining. Special dedications will be made for all donors.

Finance management: Funds raised from the Go Fund Me account will be divided and offered to all the Sangha members included in the fund. Receipts of payments are kept for future reference and accounting purposes.
Recent update (28/01/2018): We have just made our first offering to our Sangha. Big thanks to all who donated.
