Sand Men

My name is Tal and I am a documentary filmmaker based in London, UK.

I made a film about three Romanians - Neculai, Aurel and Raj, who all left their homes in Romania for the same reason - 
to seek a better life for their family.   Now, in Britain, with their loved ones depending on them, they survive by creating sand sculptures on London’s streets.

The film has been selected for over 40 international festivals, winning 10 awards, as well as being acquired by the British Film Institute National Archive. 

The film was awarded a Vimeo Staff Pick, generating over 100K views. Some viewers who watched the film,  were touched by these people's stories, and offered their financial support.

I created a GoFundMe fund, in order to help Neculai, Aurel and Raj financially, as they struggle to provide for their families back in Romania.

Every cent donated, will be transferred by me to Neculai, Aurel and Raj's  bank accounts.
