Samantha's Run for the Lungevity Foundation
Tax deductible
September 14, 2016 Lung Cancer took one of the best people I knew. The 2 months leading up to that September were one of the hardest times of my life. My Poppop was a fighter and never gave up hope. He loved being upstate at his lake house in Schroon Lake. This was one of his favorite places, if not his favorite which is why I chose to run this half marathon in honor of him. Fortunately he was able to see Joe and I get married there and start our life together. He enjoyed watching survivor with his children and grandchildren, yelling who was going to be voted off and then claiming he knew who the right person was the whole time. He loved playing horseshoes, taking a dip in the lake, and going to his retiree luncheons. He was the kindest and most gentle man who was always taking care of others. I will always remember the special bond we held. Love and Miss you Poppop.
