Sam Williams needs YOU

YOU have an opportunity to improve the life of an outgoing man with a disability. Who seeks to improve his community. How can you help? You can help by giving any amount you can to assist Sam Williams purchasing a wheelchair accessible van.
Sam Williams is stuck! Sam uses an electric wheelchair, but his conversion van has died. He has to depend on public transportation which can add 2-6 hours to any trip he takes. He works at Easter Seals in Villa Park and is also the head Coach for the Synergy Boccia Team in Carol Stream. Getting to either of these is a tremendous hurdle.
Sam Williams is an extraordinary man. Sam graduated from The University of Illinois and completed a Master of Public Health degree.. Sam competed in the Paralympic Games in Athens in 2004. Sam Williams has the will to fight and the spirit to win. He has heart and determination. Sam has always set goals and worked his hardest to achieve those goals. He has looked all the naysayers in the eye as if to say, "Oh ya! Just watch me!" He faces each day ready to tackle the day despite the fact that he has a significant disability. He has severe Cerebral Palsy. Sam has needed a wheelchair since 3rd grade. He is non-verbal and uses a communication device with eye recognition. In spite of his CP, he has achieved what many would view as impossible.
This is one of the most difficult situations for Sam (without his van). He is unable to accompany his family on any excursion. He is unable to go anywhere his children are going. He is unable to get to work easily. He is definitely stuck!
Please help in any way you can, big or small.
Please pass this along to your friends and family
