Hi all! We are Marce Morales and Bernardo López, parents of Alejo and we are in desperate need of your help as we are destroyed and our hearts are broken. Alejandro has Epilepsy and has serious complicaitons because of it. His complications are as a result of the very medications he needs and receives to control his Epileptic seizures. He has been close to dying 3 times in intensive care and he has not yet celebrated his 2nd birthday. We have
exhausted all medical options available to us in our city and still have no answers or explanations about what our son has. All medical tests indicate he has no lesions in the brain, no tumors, no malformations, no auto-immune disorders and yet he continues to have convulsions and his immune system is weakened. The Doctors don't find any specific causes for any of his medical conditions. It is URGENT for us to be able to take him to Cook Children's Medical Center in Texas, USA. It is there we HOPE to find answers that we have not gotten in the past 2 years. We HOPE to help Alejo receive treatment specific to his condition before he suffers grave consequences that will affect his development. The suggestion to take him to Cook Children's Medical Center was made by Alejo's Therapist and Pediatrician. They are knowledgeable to know that our Alejo will receive the help that he needs there. Unfortunately we do not have the resources to make this possible and we need all the help we can get so that Alejo can get better, reach milestones and become healthy and happy like every child deserves to be.
Please find it in your heart to help us take Alejo to Dallas, Texas, USA where he will be properly diagnosed and treated so he can continue to be happy and get healthy.

¡Hola a todos! Somos Marce Morales y Bernardo López, papás de Alejo y les pedimos esta ayuda desesperada, con el corazón (destrozado) en las manos. Alejandro ha tenido graves complicaciones debido a su enfermedad de epilepsia, unas de ellas producidas por las mismas medicinas que toma para controlar las crisis epilépticas, ha estado a punto de morir 3 veces en terapia intensiva y aún no cumple 2 años de edad. Hemos agotado opciones médicas en la ciudad sin tener explicación del origen para sus padecimientos. Todos los estudios concluyen sin lesión cerebral, sin tumores, sin malformaciones ni síndromes auto-inmunes. Sin embargo, él sigue convulsionando y cíclicamente con su sistema inmune debilitado. Los doctores no encuentran la causa específica para ninguno de los padecimientos. Nos resulta URGENTE poder llevarlo a la clínica pediatra Cook Children´s en USA, en esta lugar tenemos la esperanza de encontrar respuestas que por casi dos años se nos han negado y que Alejo tenga el tratamiento específico a su padecimiento antes de que sufra mas consecuencias graves para su desarrollo. Esta opción de llevarlo a la clínica fue sugerida por la terapeuta y la pediatra de Alejo y tienen fundamentos para garantizar que Alejo recibirá la ayuda que necesita en este lugar. Desafortunadamente, por el momento no contamos con los recursos para hacerlo posible y necesitamos la ayuda de todos para lograr que Alejo pueda seguir con su desarrollo y crecer sano y feliz como cualquier niño lo merece.
