A Ride to the Edge of the World
Spende geschützt
Hola! I am Joey Jones, a 21-year-old who grew up on the Mississippi in St. Paul, Minnesota. I am setting forth on the journey of a lifetime, in which I will ride my motorcycle, Tonbo, from the heartland of America towards the edge of the world. Destination: Patagonia.
Since I was a boy, it has been my dream to ride through South America. I want to see how far I can push myself, to experience community on a global scale, and to cut to the chase in this life. My hopes are that it will be a journey of major self-discovery and growth.
The first leg of my tour brought me from Minnesota to Miami. There, I watched the sun rise over the Atlantic and then followed it West, all the way to San Diego, where I watched it sink into the Pacific. Each day brought a new challenge and with it, a new lesson learned; the road pushed me and I pushed back. I camped in farmers’ pastures, slung my hammock into trees, and when I was lucky, collapsed for a night on somebody’s couch. I rode through frigid winds and the scorching sun. I learned to live off of $5 a day on food. I also learned how to make friends in unexpected places (like going up to a stranger’s door and introducing myself). Follow my adventures on Tumblr: http://saint-mud.tumblr.com and my Instagram: https://instagram.com/saint_mud. I have already learned so much and I am just getting started...
To accomplish this goal I need your help! With a small donation, you can ride with me in spirit, hear my stories from the road, check out my photos and get that warm fuzzy feeling in your tummy that only comes from helping someone accomplish their dreams (or from a nice scotch…).
This trip will cost $10,000 and to make it all the way my goal is to raise at least half that.

Although it may have just been a coffee for you, that $5 bought me a whole day’s worth of food. Look for a little shout out on the website!
