Safe Refuge For Anne
Hello! We are Kelly, Rebecca and Rachel wishing to assist our dear friend Anne with unexpected legal fees. Her husband is filing for a divorce which threatens to divest her of her inheritance and retirement. He refuses mediation. She will need to retain a lawyer to protect her interests. The harsh, and harmful actions by Anne's husband have already resulted in unavailable funds for Anne's use. She needs our help. As grateful friends of Anne, we know directly how well she has served us with her generosity and care. Now let us serve her well. She is reaching out for help from us, just as we reached out for help from her. Please invite yourself to reflect on this and act with generosity.
Anne is not merely a generous person. She is the founder of Women's Refuge Recovery Online (WRRO, pronounced WeRow), which provides a safe space for women to access resources and refuge from addictions of all kinds, primarily with Buddhist-inspired practices. She has volunteered her time, compassion and effort since it's inception and continues to do so.
Anne has devoted her heart and being to the service that she provides- tirelessly mentoring, cultivating safety and community, and providing refuge for nearly 3 years.
Rachel: If it hadn't been for Anne's vision, I would still be lost in the throes of my suffering. For various reasons, it was difficult to nearly impossible for me to access in-person Refuge Recovery resources. WRRO became my sangha, my place to do what I need to do in order to recover.
Rebecca: I am a small farmer in an isolated area. The WRRO group that Anne began has become a great source of strength and inspiration for me. Although I am not a Buddhist I now meditate daily and have learned techniques and ways of thinking that are my allies in times of struggle. Now that I am dealing with chronic illness and pain WRRO is more important to me than ever. I would never have checked it out if not for Anne - I saw how it helped her and had to try it.
Kelly: Anne is a mentor and a friend. I ask that we help her to find safe harbor as she has helped me and others with effort, compassion and honesty. I am so very grateful for the space we have cultivated and wish to send her a wish for safety and ease .
WRRO would not exist without Anne's insight. Nor would it exist without the hundreds of women she has provided refuge for. With our growth over time we can now take refuge in each other.
