Support Sabina Mazac’s Family

Donation protected
Update:

It is with great sorrow that I post this update on behalf of the Mazac family. On Sunday, December 17, 2017 in the early morning hours, Sabina was released from all of her earthly pain and went peacefully to be with the Lord. Sabina embodied God's loving kindness here on earth. Her high-energy determination in all things, her captivating smile, her incredible faithfulness, her strength, her EVERYTHING will be missed more than words can express.

In honor of Sabina and in ongoing support of Steve and the kids, please consider a donation to cover Sabina’s extensive medical costs which have accumulated over the years. Also, along with your donation (no amount is too small), please consider letting Steve know that no ‘thank you’ note is required — this gift will reduce the demand on his time and energy during this difficult period. Thank you, sincerely. May God bless you and yours.

-----------------------------------
The original campaign started September, 2015:

Sabina Mazac, a 38 year old stay-at-home mother of three was diagnosed with breast cancer in July of 2014. After a lot of research and a ton of prayer, Sabina courageously decided on a holistic treatment path.

Healing holistically is both time consuming and expensive — and is, of course NOT covered by insurance. As part of her holistic treatment plan, Sabina takes 140-180 pills/ powders/ drops a day and shops at 3 grocery stores per week in order to purchase, prepare and consume a whole foods diet — she can’t just eat anything; no sugar, dairy, grains, packaged foods or restaurants. As a homeschooling mother of 3, the youngest of which is still in diapers, both time and money are scarce resources.

The Mazacs have done all they can to fund this fight. Sabina's husband Steve makes a modest income working for a church. After a year, cancer treatment has depleted their emergency fund and savings. At one point, they resorted to dipping into Steve’s retirement to help cover treatment costs. To make matters worse, early withdrawal will result in a sizable penalty next year at tax time. The Mazacs even signed up for their church’s Money Wise program to get guidance. The advice? “Do whatever you can to stop taking money out of your retirement fund. Find part-time work. Do odd jobs. Set up a Go Fund Me page.”

So that’s what they did. Steve got a second job (20 hrs/ week), but is consequently less available to help Sabina successfully follow her treatment plan (and help care for the kids). The extra income has helped, but does not fully cover Sabina’s monthly cost of supplements or any follow-up testing to determine progress.

The current deficits of time and money prevent Sabina from following the prescribed treatment plan, potentially slowing or derailing the success of natural healing. Your donations will enable Sabina to successfully focus on and follow her treatment plan to WIN the fight against cancer. Your generosity will pay for testing, supplements, organic produce for juicing, organic whole foods, mother's helpers and babysitters for when she has to get IV treatments. We also hope that your generosity will allow Steve to cut back on his second job to better support Sabina with the kids and her treatment!

We can’t thank you enough.
