Build a Plane and Fly!!!

Hello my name is Jon,

Since I was a child I've always dreamt of flight.  I grew up on a small airport in Missouri and even helped my Dad rebuild a classic plane.  I am 40 now and I've served my country in two different military branches all around the world.  I am just now starting my last 4 year tour of service before I retire and I'll be stationed several hours from my family.  

I'll have the time and space to build a small plane.  I've chosen a new design called the Minimax Epic which is a two seater.  When I finish mine it will be the second one in the whole world after the prototype.  

I not only have to build the plane but I also need to get my pilot's license.  I plan to make documentary video's of my journey and share them here so you can see my progress.

I've worked hard for many years and as I finish my time in the service I want to finally achieve my childhood dream of flight.
