Shane Shepard Memorial Fund

Donation protected
Please see below obituary for Shane Shepard.  He passed away unexpectedly.  There are no funds to cover his end of life expenses and transitional expenses for his daughter.  This fund will be used to help with those.

Shane Allen Shepard, 45, passed away April 8, 2018. He was born June 13, 1972 in Jacksonville, Florida. Shane graduated from Middleburg High School in 1990. He also graduated from Florida State University in 1995, where he was a Football Manager under Coach Bobby Bowden. After graduation he pursued owning a retail furniture store and then returned to his first career love, Construction. His work in renovations, refurbishing, and new construction can be seen throughout northeast Florida. His latest opportunity was working with Jeff and Dawn McCarthy. They say Shane came into their life when they needed him and they certainly came into his life when he needed them.

His hobbies were primarily around athletics. He was a very family oriented father and son. Shane shared his love by adopting new family members throughout his life. Some of today’s children (Shane never liked the word Kid’s…he would say Kid’s are goats) will forever be positively influenced by his guidance. He is respected and loved by many.

Mr. Shepard is survived by his loving parents; Janie Skinner (Bill) and Larry Shepard (Debbie), daughter; Emilia Shepard; step daughter; Elizabeth Hoilman (Wade) and stepson Jake Forrester. He is also survived by step sisters and brothers; Bink Skinner (Maria); niece (Ashley); nephew (Cooper), Kenny Trewin (Jason); Amber Petty (David), niece (Ansleigh), Andrew Magnuson (Danielle), nephews (Brock and Logan).

A Family/Friends Gathering will be held at 10 AM followed by a Celebration of Life at 11 AM Friday, April 13, 2018 at Hardage-Giddens Holly Hill Funeral Home, 3601 Old Jennings Road Middleburg, Florida 32068. Please leave words of comfort at www.hollyhillfunerals.com.

In Lieu of flowers, there is a GoFundMe account https://www.gofundme.com/s-shepard039s-ilnesssurgeryrecover or a charity of your choice. Attire for the Gathering and Celebration of Life is Casual. FSU Garnet and Gold colors would be GREAT.
