Ryans Promise Project

I am setting up Ryans Promise Project as a legacy to my son who took his life. He always helped people and believed that working for the NHS and the community  was a privelidge and an honour.  An apology from the mental health team for missed opportunities is not good enough and changes need to be made.  The aim of this charity is to provide help and support  with advice to vulnerable people and to prevent and reduce the risk of suicide.  Too many people are taking their lives and this has to stop. I am fighting to set up a register that flags up suicidal attempts and alerts all NHS services so that steps can be taken to ensure that following a 136 section before release face to face contact with the family . I also want to set up a register of suidal attempts so that staff are alerted to the vulnerability  and proper support can be given
