Restore a treasure: The Alva Museum
Donation protected
Our quaint, old-Florida museum under the oaks needs help.
As one of the oldest buildings in THE oldest town in Lee County, the time has come for restoration and repair, so the treasures inside aren't at risk from the subtropics' challenging climate.
A collaborative project of the Alva Library Association (chartered 1906) and the Alva Garden Club, the first phase has begun, with a grant from Lee County, but we need to come up with matching funds for the next steps.
The vision: A lovely home to showcase this rivefront town's history with adequate parking and access for all.
Please check back for updates on our progress, and thanks for helping this tiny jewel shine again.
