Ecuador Earthquake Relief
Donation protected
On the 16th April a magnitude 7.8 earthquake hit the coast of Ecuador, a disaster which has taken at least 650 lives in that country and done enormous damage to its infrastructure. This is a country which, although developing, still had an estimated 35% of the population living in poverty before the disaster hit.
I was in Ecuador in March on business, and our representatives in Santo Domingo are ok, but are working hard to help their communities cope, & begin to recover.
Our the team in Scarborough and Nottingham have raised large donations of clothes, nappies & other essentials to send to them, but we need to raise funds to ship the goods.
Although not a natural athlete (!), I'm going to run my first ever 10k race on May 15th, aiming to achieve it in under an hour. This despite jet lag, as I'll have just got back from a work trip to the USA.
If you would sponsor me in the interests of fundraising to support our relief efforts for Ecuador, it would be greatly appreciated and certainly help me to run even harder!
