Running For Rudy

Donation protected
I'm running the London Marathon in April to raise funds for Rudy's Trust Fund.

My son Rudy was born 5 years ago with very rare multiple hemangiomas (benign tumors) on his face and body and in his brain.  When he was just one week old, the hemangiomas in his brain bled and left him fighting for his life.

Rudy thankfully survived, but has been left with significant  injury  to his brain.  Rudy doesn't walk or talk yet, has hemiparesis, low muscular tone and has lost his right field of vision. He also suffers from very difficult to control epilepsy, and has been having between 8-16 seizures every day for most of his life. Despite all of this, he is a very happy boy, with a cheeky sense of humour and bags of determination.

I'm running the London Marathon as it's always been on my bucket list, but more importantly it gives me the opportunity to try and raise some funds myself for Rudy's Trust Fund.

The Trust Fund was set up to help assist with some of the therapy costs and specialist equipment that Rudy will need throughout his life.

Thanks to the huge generosity of people who have donated and fundraised, we've been able to give Rudy weekly physiotherapy and occupational therapy, and some top equipment that we  just wouldn't have be able to afford. It's made a huge difference to Rudy's progress.

If you would like to sponsor me (even if just £1.00), then huge thanks, as it all really does make a difference and  I'm going to need every bit of help to get me through the 26 miles 385 yards (ouch!)

Cheers
