Raise the Roof!

The Lassen County Arts Council is a 501(c)(3) seeking your help: We need to raise $13,500 to replace our roof. Our recent mild winters have allowed us to postpone our improvements, however, we are well aware our borrowed time will run out soon.
As a non-profit, we are faced with the consistent challenge of securing financial resources. Serving our rural community with art experiences is paramount in our mission and therefore makes it difficult to raise additional funds for our building improvements.
Our Gallery is home to many events each month. We hold monthly Artist Receptions and recently started an Adult Coloring Club that meets four times a month. Cork & Canvas events are also held twice a month in our Gallery.
This summer will be our fourth year of our Summer Art Program, held for youth ages 7-18. We offer six weeks of programming for local youth from mid-June through July. We also offer a Kids & Canvas experience for our little artists celebrating birthdays and special events.
Our Gallery also hosts the Lassen Acoustic Music Jam
once a month where local musicians meet in the Gallery for a jam session. Our Gallery is open Monday through Friday 12-4 p.m. for visitors. As you can see, we depend on the Gallery for many uses and it is imperative that we preserve the integrity of the building.
We hope to be able to raise enough money to make the necessary repairs to preserve our Gallery. New lighting and window coverings and workspace improvements upstairs are also on our wish list. With funds donated above our initial goal of $13,500, we will chip away at our wish list one improvement at a time! Any amount of donation is greatly appreciated, will you help?
