Rod, 55, father to Jamie (Jeramie) Ross and Theresa (Jason) Smith, son of Chuck & Judy Young, and brother to Renae (Pete) Peterson, Rory (Kathy) Young, Robyn (Gary) Cain, and Reba (Brian) Plumb, has been diagnosed with Stage IV Colorectal Cancer. Rod is a proud father and grandfather. He is an avid sports fan and likes to spend his free time golfing, fishing, gardening and visiting his grandchildren.
He is currently undergoing an aggressive chemotherapy treatment. His prognosis has left him unable to work since August 2015. Previously, he enjoyed working for DeClercq Farms and plowing snow for Kirk Wainwright each winter. The cost of treatment and medication can quickly become devastating and we, Rod’s friends and family, want to help Rod as much as we can. Since we cannot battle this cancer for him (as much as we wish we could), we want to alleviate the overwhelming burden and stress of the financial costs to fight this awful disease.
