If you've read my caringbridge, then you know our story & what's going on.  I hesitated to start a "Go fund me" because I was optimistic & thought it would be easy to get a double lung transplant.  However, its not (because I have a weird genetic mutation).  I have found only 1 facility in Texas that will agree to take me on as a patient.   I have been denied at multiple research hospitals in & out of state, including most of the ones in Houston where most of my support system is.
So...since my savings is gone, and my case won't go to trial until 2017 (which my atty says I won't win much), I'm humbly asking for help for the double lung transplant I need to stay alive.  I will need money to travel  via car, train, or boat (since I'm restricted from ever flying again), for boarding, lodging, & food.
I've been accepted to 1 transplant center in  Dallas,Texas, and in January will start a week's worth of evaluation.  The one I'm going to also have the facilities to do a bone marrow transplant that I may need in the future.   The doctors feel I don't need it right now because they feel like the Aplastic Anemia is stable on medications (however, the Danazol I'm on is on backorder & I have a few weeks worth-if this runs out, I may need blood transfusions again).  Aerica was just tested to see if she'll be a match for me.
I'm still looking at other transplant facilities (some outside of Texas) if it doesn't pan out.  I'm hopeful things will work out in Dallas.  We have started using some of the funds this month already, am quite humbled at people donating during Christmas & its very much appreciated.
This means so much to me because I'm not ready to die, I haven't finished living, and I so want to watch my daughter fall in love someday & to meet my future grandkids.
I can't tell you how much your gift will mean to our family, because its a priceless one.  I wouldn't want anyone I know to have to go through this, wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy.  I'm hoping & praying I'm the miracle for you and our Lord, because you should  never, ever give up or lose hope. Love, Linda

Great news! Miracles are still happening! A few weeks ago, we were told I had a few hours to live, and now it looks like I may be going home next Wednesday June 15th!! I'll still require round-the-clock care, but I'll be home. I'm apprehensive & scared, but I know I'm not alone & I'll have the support of many. Please keep up in your hearts & minds as we make this transition. Thank you & GOD bless!

Miracles DO happen! Your prayers healed up the pneumothorax I had, and I'm making progress. Yesterday they took off my PCA pump & also the rebreather mask, switching me to a high flow oxygen cannula starting at 10lpm. Today I had a bath, followed by harp music, then had a massage by PJ before noon visitors. Beena & Jenny brought cheer, hugs, helpful hands, coffee cake, & Star Wars pop ice. Chris came & brought delicious Vietnamese food truck Saigon le Vendeur Bahn mi & pork bun! Thanks for continued prayers, love, support, & donations too!

I'm doing better than last week, but still not out of any clear. Today I'm asking for specific prayers...Please pray that possible pneumothorax today heals on its own & doesn't get worse, that Aerica gets the help she needs at school, & that my family & friends can stay strong. Thanks so much!! Xoxo

It's with a very heavy heart that I have to tell y'all today I was placed on Hospice care. Thanks to all of you for prayers, love, hugs, food, laughs, gifts, support, & donations. I don't know how long, but that's not important, just know that even if I'm not "here", I'll still be around as a guardian angel. See you on the other side someday, but until then, live your life to the fullest & be nice!!
