It's time for Mastery. It's time to dominate your field. It's time for world records and glass ceilings to be shattered. It's time to step out from the shadows and stop hiding behind fears. Julene Robinson is an interdisciplinary performance storyteller (scientist by heart -artist by soul). I specialize in socially engaging solo and group performances in various theatre and performance spaces both locally and internationally .
Art for me has the potential to transform a human being by elevating us to our best selves and how else can we be the change we would like to see in this world. I want to be the best version of my self and in turn give permission to others by inspiring them to be their best selves by tell stories with my entire being, by providing a mirror in which we can look at ourselves without judgement and without fear. When I grace a stage I charge my self with the responsibility to tell your story and my story and our grand and great grand parents stories fearlessly so that we can learn from them and grow and become.
The question now becomes how do I do this to the best of my ability.

I have apprenticed with D’bi anitiafrika young an internationally celebrated African-Jamaican- Canadian dubpoet, playwright-monodramatist, arts-educator, theatre director and scholartist, whose work explores themes of identity, gender, sexuality, divinity, race, class and the human experience. From her I have learnt to ground my work in the lush environs of sacredness and integrity. She provided me with the viral nourishments for the root of the tree called who I am and what I want to do in this world. I will be eternally grateful to her. Now it's time to nurture that tree and grow the trunk and branches and leaves.
I was provided with the extraordinary opportunity to study at the Rose Bruford College of Theatre and Performance in 2017. Here I will spend 14 months in an intensive training program resulting in a Masters degree in Ensemble Theatre. I will be able contribute to Jamaica and the world at large in a much more sustainable and impactful kind of way. I looked forward to being fully immersed in my art and I need your help to do that.
I am asking for your help on this Road to Rose by contributing. LAY A BRICK !!!! There will be several fundraising ventures taking place over the next year to raise the total of £28500 . CONTRIBUTE THE COST OF A THEATRE TICKET in your area if I was playing there. Who knows in the next few years I might be!
