Rising Rhythm Needs a Home!

RISING RHYTHM NEEDS YOUR HELP!

We call on the support of our community to help us raise funds to purchase our SPACE that we are at RISK of LOSING

Rising Rhythm is an emerging Bay Area dance and music performance company for youth and adults and we believe that all people of all ages have the capability to explore and express movement on and off the stage no matter what limitations or obstacles they encounter. Our SPACE is where we provide mentorship to our emerging artists, and offer up creative space for them to cultivate. It is our aim that they are active in creating a culture wherein they can thrive by developing their artistic voices and cultivating a true arts family.

Our founding Artistic Director Jessica Recinos offers her native Excelsior District In-Home Studio as a space where students and teachers alike come together and collaborate to create meaningful dance performance pieces that incorporate urban/world/cultural dance, live music, spoken word, and visual art.

Our Rising Rhythm teachers pass down their knowledge to our students in order to foster each unique artistic voice; collectively we tell the stories of struggle and victory that we all face in this city.

At Rising Rhythm, we hold our dancers and musicians to high standards. Our training exposes students to a professional level of conceptual and choreographic collaboration, yet maintains a nurturing and supportive learning environment. Using the arts, our aim is to develop our emerging artists into leaders in their own communities!

Since its founding in 2014, Rising Rhythm has created performance opportunities for our students and company members in events such as Carnaval SF Mardi Gras Celebration and 40th Anniversary Stage Show, Paseo Artistico, Baile La Calle produced by BRAVA! Women in The Arts, Dance Mission Choreographers Festival, Youth Speaks Life is Living Festival, and the most recent PUSH Fest 2018.

After four years of cultivation from within her own apartment, Jessica stands to lose the Rising Rhythm In-Home Studio, and her building owner stands to gain an estimated $1.4 million. How much do you think Rising Rhythm will profit from this sale?

DO NOT LET RISING RHYTHM BE ANOTHER CASUALTY TO CONDOS!

IN ORDER TO STOP THIS FROM HAPPENING, we are hoping to raise $15,000 or MORE by October 1st, 2018 and continue fundraising for the rest of the year to  PURCHASE THE BUILDING to continue serving the Excelsior District YOUTH and emerging artists of the Bay!

Your donation$ will be used towards:

☆ Contributions to the estimated $280,000 Down payment to secure our Rising Rhythm Studio HERE in the Excelsior FOR the youth and emerging artists of all ages in the COMMUNITY
☆Renovations, licenses, permits etc.
☆Fundraising shows for our company

Please contribute, share our stories and fundraising campaign with your networks, and come to our upcoming performances!
