The Manchester Community Refugee Resettlement Group (MCRRG) is a group of committed people from diverse backgrounds living in the Manchester, CT area. We have come together for one purpose: to help a refugee family get through a difficult and trying time and make a peaceful and happy home in our town.
We are raising $6,000 to help the family with their initial six months of resettlement costs including rent, utilities, groceries and other necessities. We are also helping them find employment, housing, get the children enrolled in school, and help them to adjust to life in a new country and new culture. If you or anyone you know wants to help with these efforts, please send us a message with your contribution.
We in the Manchester area are fortunate to go to work, attend school, and care for our families knowing that there is very little chance that we will be, or we will find our family missing or harmed at the end of the day. Not everyone is so lucky, and we feel grateful to be able to work with Integrated Refugee & Immigrant Services (IRIS) to help a family find peace at the end of what has undoubtedly been a long struggle.
